In mourning

Sometimes, unbelievably horrible things happen. You pray, you hope, you calculate the odds, talk to the best experts and do everything humanly possible to make it happen in your favor. Yet, fate still has the over powering hand to enforce her will.

I have been in that state of mind for the last month. Every fiber of my being has been dedicated to making a specific outcome happen. Success was not to be had.

Yet, from this dark place I am currently in, I see the shining support of my family and my friends. I am overwhelmed by the support and generosity that has been offered.

I have reaffirmed my faith in the concept of family. I have been shown how valuable friends are in dire times.

As bad as things are, family and friends have made it bearable. They have shouldered the burdens for me when I was unable. For this, I am eternally grateful. You know who you are.

Thank You.
